If They Do, They Will

The people who want to be in your life, are.

If they’re close by you see them a lot.

If they’re far away, they call. They write.

They check in and check up.

You can spend years wishing certain people were in your life.

You’re certain there’s some kind of connection

But no matter how long you wish

They don’t come.

And then with a little age and wisdom

You come to realize how simple it all is.

It’s not about wishing.

If they wanted to be in your life

They would be.

If they’re not

They don’t.

That’s how simple Love is.
